Great video. And thank you so much for introducing me to Circadians: chaos order. Such a good and overlooked game. Ordered it almost immediately. So great. The depth and mechanics are superb. It sure is a forever game for me. Hope the group is up for delving into it more. Too much churn and burn.

The "use your workers to build a tableau that other players can use" gameplay reminds me of Ora & Labora, an Uwe Rosenberg game. In fact, this is just an Uwe game but with waaaay less resources, which is good for certain play groups

I remember that my gramma bought me the 'The big book of solitare games" and a deck of cards. I still play a few of my favorites.

Cheapest game my family has bought and played the most (40 years about 3 to 5 games weekly), a pinochle deck of cards. Granted we went through a dozen decks, but still cheaper.

I like the game & its components but I'm yet to actually finish a game, my 2nd player usually gets bored.

So yes, Fallout Shelter a game that had been sitting on my shelves for years that i finally got to because of the TV series. How does it measure up..... it's fine. Like its actually just a pretty solid fun fallout game, i think i prefer it to the fallout adventure game, that's for sure. It's probably not gonna blow anyones socks off though.

If you're playing with only 2 people, I like The Crew 1 much better than 2. Haven't played it enough with more people to challenge your Crew pick further, though. I should!

Race for the Galaxy is my top card driven tableau builder... I like it so much more than Terraforming Mars and Ark Nova. Not only is it a "puzzle" with a big deck but it's also got interaction in the form of prediction what your opponents are planning to do

I never understood Sentinels, playing with the same deck all the time is the fun how? Marvel Champions is soooo much better.

Very interesting you you recommended Calico but not Cascadia. Calico seems to feature more luck because you are confined in the tile placement space as well as the luck of the tile draw, whereas Cascadia has more ways to score and you aren’t confined in your tile placement space. Harmonies seems to constrained in terms of the 2D layout of the board, but the 3D aspect likely ameliorates that and makes you less screwed by an unlucky tile/token draw, therefore it seems like it might be more like Cascadia.

Unmatched beats the daylights out of Dice Throne in my experience.

You have the same opinion as me. It’s pretty safe, with nothing too amazing but nothing too terrible. I guess my biggest negative is its length. An hour seems like a bit much for the light gameplay that it is

We love this game, play a lot with the 13yo dog lover. Review is right on, it’s a nice time, with the limits and benefits that implies. Keen for the expansion video!

I own under 70 games and clocked 160 plays in the last year. We frequently play the same game a few times in close succession because after a rules refresh its great to be able to dive straight in the next time, and there's always a different strategy you want to try out. And if there's a game that doesn't get played in the last year, I move it to the departure lounge. If someone doesn't see that and need to play it, then it gets moved on.

I'm so glad you talked about filler games. I don't think they get enough recognition. We rarely have a gaming night that doesn't finish (or start if someone is running late) with one - Skull, 6 nimmt, Scout, No Thanks, Cockroach Poker.

No doubt its a gorgeous production. I bought it as a gateway game to play with my dog loving family and friends. That being said, I've only played it solo so far to learn the rules and it was just alright. Think it will be much better multiplayer.
